MEMBERSHIP LAUNCH – BORRADAILE BULLION

Traditionally Borradaile Hospital has relied on and been partially funded by member
subscriptions.
With hyperinflation and transient core residents and farmers the membership fell away.
The hospital is now in a position of relative strength. The relationship with MARS has
added another professional dimension to our services and has also added an additional
fixed cost. Part of the BORRADAILE BULLION MEMBERSHIP subscription will go towards
ensuring that the MARS resources are stationed at Borradaile Hospital. The industry
talks about the “Golden Hour” being the first 60minutes in trauma recovery being the
critical time frame. It’s only in a time of trauma that one realises how essential it is
having professional services on hand.
In addition to the MARS ambulance service the BORRADAILE BULLION MEMBERSHIP
provides the following benefits:

- No admission fee at Borradaile Hospital
- Access to Private Wards at the Hospital
- Access to the MARS network country wide including the MARS clinics in Victoria Falls and Kariba
- No pre-authorization

It must be noted that membership is NOT MEDICAL AID. A pre requisite of BORRADAILE
BULLION MEMBERSHIP is acceptable medical aid.
The Borradaile Bullion Membership will launch effective from 1 January 2011. It is in
the interests of the hospital and the community to sign on as many qualifying
members as possible.

There are four categories for the BORRADAILE BULLION MEMBERSHIP

FAMILY- $20 PER MONTH( (discount for annual payment)
INDIVIDUAL - $10 PER MONTH (discount for annual payment)
TEACHER  $10 PER MONTH - (consolidate monthly payment)
BORRADAILE TRUST RESIDENTS - FREE OF CHARGE (subject to qualifying medical aid)
